Last Minute Pet Travel Checklist
It's a good thing
that pets are easy to pack for and travel relatively light! Packing a
bag for your pet only takes a few minutes and can save you from
spending unnecessary time searching for pet supplies or services while
traveling or on holidays.
Some items to pack include:
Pet Travel Checklist...
Your pet's personal stuff: food and water bowls, collar, leash, bedding, favorite toys, and grooming supplies.
Identification. Collar with tags, tattoo, microchip. Check to make sure your contact information is up-to-date.
Documentation:
1. Records of your pet's identification numbers, including tattoos, microchips, and city license tag.
2. Recent photo.
3. Vaccination records.
4. Record of medical conditions and any required medications.
5. Name, address, and phone number of your vet.
6. A detailed description of any unique markings.
7. Supporting documents if you are traveling between countries.
Medications: prescription medications, heartworm pills, flea and tick control, etc.
Kennel or carrier.
Food, water, and treats.
Cleaning supplies: towels, sheets, lint brush, stain remover, deodorizer, plastic bags / litter box and scoop.
Phone number and address of the local vet in the area to where you're traveling.
Pet first aid kit.
