Best Spring Break Vacation Packages!
If
your idea of Spring Break vacation packages is a short getaway to some
nice beaches that is not crowded with spring break people, but that is
also affordable, check out the following places!
Cape San Blas, Florida It
is on the FL Panhandle in an area known as the "Forgotten Coast"! The
reason for that is it is UNCROWDED! It doesn't attact the Spring Break
crowd! The beaches are white sand and 1/2 of the 20 miles of the Cape
is St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. There isn't a single high rise
condo so the beaches don't have the crowds of most Panhandle beaches!
Jekyll Island, GA Jekyll
is a nature preserve, with almost no development, and the southern end
of the island has beautiful sandy beaches; the northern end has a very
dramatic driftwood beach. There is good seafood on the island, or you
can drive or ferry over to St. Simons. You can fly into Jacksonville
(closer) or Savannah and rent a car.
Info to Jekyll Island
Charleston, SC The
beaches on the barrier islands (Sullivan, Isle of Palms, Folly Beach,
Edisto) are second to none. Just beautiful, uncrowded beaches.
Mid-to-late March should have temperatures into the 70's, even if the
water is cooler. The City has the best galleries, cultural events,
walking sights, history and charm.
San Destin, FL It
is a huge planned beach community. Half of the resort is on the ocean
and half is on the bay side. The bay side is a lovely harbor. The
harbor town is brand new with hotel and houses and condos to rent...8
restaurants, 3 golf courses, kayaks, pontoon boats, wine bar, tennis
complex with grass courts and a starbucks. It offers you many choices
if the weather is chilly or rainy. None of the teenage crowd. More
family oriented..the price keeps many away on college trips. Fly into
Ft. Walton beach airport, rent car and in 20 minutes you are sitting on
the beach.
